What Did Your Pastor Preach on Sunday
We had a big day at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington. We came off of a great marriage retreat in Dallas. I got to go to half of it. Today, Dr. Cliff Ashe preached both our services. His big idea was “when we empty ourselves of debt for the purposes of God, he opens up opportunities for us to serve using His resources.” Ashe has a unique ability to preach narratives. He used 1 Kings 4:1-7 today. Dr. Ashe is a great Pastor. He’s a founder of a men’s ministry and church. He did a great job today. Excellent message on giving yourself away to financial freedom.
What did you Pastor preach?
Our pastor’s on a mission trip in Africa so our youth pastor preached today. It was titled Submission Possible…on Ephesians 5, submitting to one another out of reverence to God. It was good. I always enjoy hearing Joel preach. But I miss getting to hear you.
Mi pastor Jesus está enseñandome que debo reconocer que mis dones espirituales personales no son suficientes para sobrellevar todos los momentos difíciles de la vida. Debo reconocer lo poco que tengo y que sin Cristo nada puedo. Pedirle a Jesús que ponga la medida que necesito para vencer.
My shepherd Jesus is teaching me that I must admit that my spiritual personal gifts are not enough to carry all the difficult moments of life. I must recognize the few that I have and that without Christ nothing I can do. I must pray Jesus to put the measure that I need to win.
